Graduating in Costume and Set Design at the Academy of Art of Genova, Italy, Ottavia obtained her MA in Costume Design for Performance at London College of Fashion. Within a live/experimental context, her work explores the costumed body within visceral performance. Her knowledge and feeling for period and place allow her to absorb the spirit of a culture, translating it theatrically without destroying its essence. Ottavia creates a sense of rich, fevered claustrophobia and mystery on a living canvas of sensuality and decadence.
